Property Description

Three-mile island/peninsula with private walkout to water

COUPLE’S GETAWAY – A “SLICE of HEAVEN” ( guest comment)

If you want a place where nature speaks and you can hear yourself think….then this couple’s getaway is for you! Enjoy the PEACE and SERENITY that recharges your body and rejuvenates your spirit.

This is not just another sweet spot on Lake Norman, but being on a three-mile island/peninsula with spectacular views and near the causeway, it is truly a :slice of heaven” as one guest proclaimed.

THE DWELLING:
This very large three-story, 5,000-square foot home offers privacy for each guest as there is not even a shared wall as in a condo or apartment. There are several private sitting areas on a patio with one area being covered so the outside can be enjoyed even if raining. The one- bedroom, with a king bed, walks right out to the dock just 30 feet away for those who love to swim, fish, boat, kayak or just enjoy the sunrise with a cup of coffee or the sunset with a glass of wine. The two-bedroom unit on the upper level, with a king and twin beds, has its own deck and grill and gives a lovely aerial view of boats passing by on the lake. There is of course an outside fireplace, two gas grills. and a charcoal grill.

The units offer complete kitchens with full refrigerator, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster and all you might need to cook at home, although the upper level has counter top burners and a convection oven. The apartments are all fully furnished, to include linens and towels and kitchen utensils and cookware. Guests bring toiletries, personal items and all paper products such as toilet paper and paper towels.

There is a nominal extra-person fee after two guests and a pet fee as well, varying on the length of stay.

INTERNET and UTILITIES are included, although I do expect you to be energy and environmentally conscious. TVs are also provided. There is a washer and dryer on the property with a small fee and also a laundromat minutes away as well.
Kayaks are available for a minimal rental fee.

THE AREA – BEST of ALL WORLDS:

If you prefer to eat at one of the many casual lakeside dining establishments, there are many within just minutes of Kiser Island. The Catawba Queen, a cruise ship of the lake, is just a few minutes away as well. The location is the best of all worlds! The serenity of the island, yet within minutes, there are numerous restaurants, theaters, and shopping for all. There are several boat and jet ski rentals within just minutes as well as two well-maintained free launching pads just a mile down the road. I also can get half price on boat rentals for my guests as boats are available. Bordering on Mooresville, Race City USA, there are Nascar museums and wonderful events in Historic Mooresville and the charming community of Davidson, just down the road. Thee is white water rafting and waterfall tours, and just a few miles away is Lake Norman State Park which also offers kayaking, biking, hiking and more for all nature lovers.

Kiser Island is less than 30 miles to the charming city of Charlotte, NC and just an hour to the Smokey Mountains and the must-experience city of Asheville, NC and the Biltmore House. Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and Love Valley are also just an hour or so up the road!

WHAT IT IS NOT:
Because I promise peace and quiet, no parties or events are allowed. Absolutely no drugs are allowed nor is smoking allowed inside the apartment. It is a healing environment, not a Disney atmosphere, and I am committed to giving all guests a time to be inspired by their own self reflections and the herons visiting on the dock.

VACATION RENTAL AND CORPORATE HOUSING.
The apartments are available both as a vacation rental but also on a monthly basis for those seeking corporate housing as a desirable alternative to a hotel room or extended stay on a noisy freeway. The longer the stay, the better the rate. Being seasonal, the winter rates are obviously lower than the summer rates.

I have a diversified background as a motivational keynote speaker, corporate trainer and bestselling author. I have a psychotherapy background and continue to do personal and business coaching as well as brain training i.e. hypnotherapy. I am also have written seven books with one of them, Why Cats Don’t Bark, being a bestseller in China. I am from Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin, but got cold and moved to this wonderful place on the lake.
